A CHANCE TO SAY GOODBYE
Dan Leathers was just 20 years old when he was involved in a devastating car accident just before Christmas.
Dan’s injuries were too severe to survive. But because of the care he received, his family had time to be with him. Time for friends to visit, to laugh, cry, and play music. Time to reflect on the incredible person he was, and for Dan to become an organ donor.
We filmed with Dan’s family at home and in locations that were special to Dan. Dan’s family bravely shared their story and memories of Dan as well as describing why the East Anglian Air Ambulance mean so much to them.
We also filmed some of the crew at the East Anglian Air Ambulance Norwich base, hearing firsthand what happened and how they cope with being first responders for the most serious 1% of 999 calls.
A sudden collapse. A serious road accident. A medical emergency at home.
On somebody’s darkest day, EAAA crews reach people fast, to deliver critical care and give families hope, or comfort, when it matters most.
